Shining beauty...

We all have to do the boring things in life. Like simple, ordinary jobs at home and at work. Sometimes we are lucky and get to work with some extraordinary  people that make a ordinary job that much more enjoyable. It's one of the reasons why I stay at the place I work.

One of my lovely co workers has a beautiful daughter. And when I say beautiful, I mean inside and out. She has dignity and pride, with humility, gentleness and sweetness. The apple has not fallen far from the tree, so to speak.
She is the epitome of what a young adult should be. This girl has chosen to be a strong young woman, who believes in and listens to herself.  She has such a marvelous sense of self worth and dignity. It makes her shine with an inner strength and beauty that only helps to make her all the more amazing. As you can see in these photos....

I wanted to try out a few different photographic things, like going to the local cemetery to get this shot....

...And then to the railway to get these images...

...and to try out my latest favourite thing, sun flare with my own photoshop actions...

Then a quick drive around the corner for these...

Just a view.

This is where I come from.

The Adelaide hills. The place is filled with glorious views, rolling hills, bustling places, slow towns and those spots that fit in between. It is a place where I longed to run from, and escape, to the city, in my late teens, and have returned to and have fallen in love with, more and more, as I get older. Deep inside me, it just sings of home. The memories of starry nights, lying in the paddock with the grass gently swaying above me, the silken webs clinging to each blade of golden grass, in the evening twilight, The dirt roads, and bike rides, and the views. Those beautiful views. The ones I now have to stop and breathe in, to fill my eyes with their peaceful wonder...

Miss Ruby.

There is something special about this girl. She has that certain charisma about her, which we all wish we were born with. That air of strength and beauty, the certainty of where she is going, how she will do it and why. It is a good quality to have.

And she has her mothers beautiful eyes, and fine porcelaine skin. Two gorgeous freckles near her nose and a sweetheart face to frame it all with.

What makes this child special to me is that she is the girl that my son declared was his first love, in the kindergarten room, where I don't think they even held hands! My boy has fabulous taste, don't you think? He got a little quiet and got that glint in his eye when I told him Ruby was coming over to have her picture taken. Never let anyone tell you that little 6 year old boy's don't know the meaning of love. It is absolute rubbish. They feel it, in some small way, I'm sure of it. Just not in the way we understand it to be as adults.

After all, Love is the most precious and beautiful thing of all. No matter how small or tiny it is....

Had enough of this, just had to go CRAZY!....

April Moon.

Just thought I would expand my knowledge with a fab youtube tutorial! Taking photos of the moon. No matter how hard I try, I don't ever seem to get a good shot! So, obviously, it is something I have to learn! Thanks to all those wonderful people out there, in the world, for helping me get these two shots!

Silvery moon, in the great dark sky.
Thy dreams see farther than we do.
Over the world goest wandering,
In many a window art looking.

HDR Cars.

I've been playing around a bit with Hdr. Cars look good, and buildings. Lines, distinct shapes and flowing forms,  they all look great with it. Who knows where HDR will go. It has been around for a couple of years now,  and is likely to stay for a few more. It's a little like digital painting, in a way. It could be a fad, where people look at an image and say, hey that was done in the 2000's, or it could pave the way to a future of 3d editing software, that will take photography to a whole new level! Anyway, being the editing junkie that I am, you will probably be seeing a few more of these enhanced photos.
I love them!

and a little blue tractor, sitting on the side of the road.
It's for sale, if your interested. My son certainly is!
